who is Callie
Callie started her college career in the Leeds School of Business at The University of Colorado Boulder, but ultimately transferred to The Art Institute of Colorado to receive a Bachelors Degree in Food and Beverage Management. With this degree she was able to explore creative strategies for restaurants and food companies with respect to their brands. Additionally, Callie was able to study in Italy through a program with the Art Institute, which exposed her to high quality food products and preparation.
After working in the food industry for a few years, Callie learned about the importance of sustainable food and agricultural practices, and found her true passion…quality. Her experience made her realize the need for smaller, privately held artisan food companies to expand their marketing and brand design.
Graduate school wasn’t part of Callie’s plan until she came across the Strategic Communication & Design program at The University of Colorado Boulder (formerly Boulder Digital Works or BDW). This program taught her a wide range of skills, including the importance of working through problems in a strategic manner.
Product design has always been of interest to Callie. She feels that attention to an appropriate design is necessary for brands to grow in a diverse marketplace. Callie applies design thinking to help true artisans capitalize on their skills and tell their stories. She is committed to providing simple, stunning designs for brands to stand out against their competitors.
Callie is extremely organized and efficient, which allows her to accomplish a lot in any given day. When Callie isn’t working on client brand designs, she enjoys hiking, skiing, reading, cooking, and traveling. And she is still working on her patience…
